THERMOCOLOR RS28 – Thermoplastic Multidot/Agglomerate road marking material
Thermocolor RS28 thermoplastic material is designed for application of multidot or resonator road markings on roads and highways.
Most often in rain or in bad weather conditions, which cause poor night visibility, a properly marked road makes the difference. Road markings made with Thermocolor RS28 fall into the category of Type II markings.
Type II road markings (multidot or resonator) provide a very good retroreflectivity at night and in rainy weather conditions, because they allow water to dissipate, so that the glass beads can reflect light without obstacles.
The application is made at temperatures of 180-210°C using road marking machines equipped with extruder or draw box, built specially for the application of thermoplastic materials.
A correct application that ensures good adhesion of these materials involves a throughout cleaning of the surface and removing moisture from the substrate pores.
Products: AC-341 primer, thermoplastic material Thermocolor RS28, reflective glass beads.
Note: AC-341 primer is used on concrete surfaces and old asphalt surfaces with old bitumen or poor in bitumen that do not provide good adhesion anymore.
Characteristics and advantages:
- Thermocolor RS28 thermoplastic material is solvent-free and environmentally friendly;
- warning effect – sound and vibration – if crossed over with the wheel;
- improves road safety by reducing the risk of aquaplaning when driving at higher speeds;
- increases traffic safety due to excellent visibility at night and during rainy conditions due to the 3D structure.
